Sigiriya & The Triangle

Season · May – Sep

King Kashyapa developed a palace and fortress complex around Sigiriya’s towering rock in the fifth century. Its gardens, frescoes, mirror wall and summit ruins remain one of Sri Lanka’s most important archaeological sites.

An early visit during official opening hours helps with heat and crowds. The wider route can include Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura and the region’s ancient reservoirs.
